About KAYANI

KAYANI welcomes new puppies at his foster home and helps them feel at home. He is very sweet with humans and seeks affection. He is also very shy, particularly with men. He adores affection, especially from women once he knows the person. He's great with cats and every dog we've introduced to him! He has daily play dates with various dogs (various sizes, ages etc). His adoption fee includes his neutering, vaccinations, microchip, and deworming. Keanu was left in a box on the side of the road as a puppy. He's ok now, but very shy with men. He's an affectionate dog with women, loves cats, and enjoys his daily playdates with other dogs. He MUST adopt to a family that has another playful dog. (You could also adopt him with one of his bff's if you don't have another dog). Revised adoption policy: Due to the Covid -19 pandemic and social distancing requirements, we've revised our adoption policy. First, please email ([email protected]) to inquire before you fill out the online application. (Do not call or text - there will be no reply!) We are unable to do meetgreets or adoption events at this time or bring multiple animals to your house to choose from, so please only inquire if you're serious about adopting this particular animal. If you're just shopping around with several shelters and rescues please let us know. Since we are not able to do an inside home visit at this time to get to know each other a bit and meet your pets, we ask that you send us pics /video (and where your pet will sleep/live, etc and if adopting a dog -- yard/fencing/gates, etc). If you're application is approved (which could take up to one week to process) then we will contact you to set up a Zoom or ph call to answer/ask any questions. At the meeting/adoption at your house (outside) please wear a mask (as will we), keep a covid-safe distance and use hand sanitizer :-) We adopt locally to the Santa Fe, central ABQ, Rio Rancho and Los Alamos areas of New Mexico.
