About Cody *Rescue only* URG

I wasn't able to cozy up to CODY (ID #A1789415) when I was at the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, but during the few minutes that I stood at his kennel, taking a few photos, I saw his sadness and I felt sad, too. CODY is 8-years-old, obese, with eyes that are mesmerizing. He entered the shelter as a 'stray' on September 10, and the finder had 'first rights' on him. But for a reason unbeknownst to me, he is now Rescue-Only. The following are a couple of notes provided by shelter staff: ********** BEHAVIORAL (Tue, Sep 29, 2020 2:36 PM) Released from quarantine. Able to leash and move to outside kennels without incident. Walks well on leash. BEHAVIORAL (Thu, Sep 10, 2020 8:10 PM) #533 - I WANTED TO MOVE THIS LARGE DOG OUT OF RECEIVING AND TO AN INSIDE KENNEL. WHEN I I APPROACHED HIM WITH THE LEASH, HE SHOWED HIS TEETH. WHEN I CAME BACK WITH THE ACD, HE BEGAN GROWLING. ACT GOT HIS LEASH ON HIM AND WAS ABLE TO WALK HIM TI A KENNEL.
