About Parakeet

Hi everyone! It is with a heavy heart that I write this post, but after a while of thinking I've come to the decision that it would be best for me to rehome my 6 year old parakeet Paco. I owned 2 parakeets for 6 years and a couple of months ago one of them passed away. Since then my other parakeet has been super clingy to the rest of my family and lonely. I'm moving to college next semester and I'm worried it's going to be too much time alone for him with both my parents working full time. He's EXTREMELY social so I'm looking for someone who has at least one other parakeet and enough time to spend with him during the day. I don't want him to be alone or bred. His wings aren't clipped, so he loves spending time out of his cage with free roam of his room/rooms. He loves all new people and readily lands on their head/shoulders when they're around. His favorite things include mirrors, baths, sitting by open windows, and music (especially Ariana grande, for some reason he always dances and sings when we play her haha). He also gives kisses! We have two dogs so he's not bothered by barking or anything like that. He's a beautiful singer and will show it off at all hours of the day, but knows when it's time to be quiet and go to bed. He's also really easy to handle. His nails grow really slowly so I've never had to get them trimmed as long as I keep file pads over his perches. (Not to mention he's super beautiful). He's the perfect companion. He comes with two travel cages, toys, water supplements, treats, food and water dishes, and if you need one another cage with four perches. I'm looking for someone in the summit county area (Ohio) who's willing to keep me posted on his transition for a little while after he moves so that I know he's assimilating well and being taken care of.
