About Rainbow

Adoption Fee: $200.00
Chihuahua / Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Rainbow. I rescued him when he was about 12 weeks old. He had been born to a stray and then abandoned. Some neighborhood kids found him and his brother in a nearby alley. Rainbow was clinging to life. The family that saved the puppies later turned Rainbow back out on the street, chosing to keep his brother.Remarkably, another stray female (a gentle, but protective pitbull) adopted him. From time to time, I would see them together, but couldn't get close enough to help. Then, one morning, I found him alone, crying and bleeding in the street. I called to him and when I had him in my arms, I felt I'd never let him go. But one year ago, another small puppy came into my life, my beautiful purebred husky... I've tried everything that I know to get him to love and accept her, but he's not having it. She tries to play with him, but I think her size and energy level intimidate him. He plays a little and always eventually ends up snapping at her. As a result, he now practically lives in his kennel and this isn't fair to him. Rainbow would love to be the only dog in your home. He is so smart and loves to play. He is excellent on the leash and in a fenced in area loves to run. He is very protective of his family and can be a bit barky (I've worked hard with him on this). And, of course, he is house and kennel trained. It's been a long journey with him and I do love him. I just want what's best for him. Please text my phone, or reply to this posting via this site. With love and hope.
