Hamlet was found at a local state park after being abandoned in the woods, so we don't know his past history. He is very obedient and had been well trained. He is very playful and generally a great dog. He gets along with my other dogs but not strange dogs. He has taken a dislike to my grandsons who are 3 and 1 1/2 and growls at them. He has snapped at the oldest a couple of times but not attacked him or anything. Hamlet will be much happier in a home without children. He loves car rides and just hanging out with you, particularly on a swing with his big ole head in your lap. He's afraid of thunderstorms and gunshot noises. He's used to sleeping inside at night in the garage. He's housebroken when he comes inside and is very quiet and non destructive, he just likes it outside during the day. If I didn't keep my grand sons nearly everyday, I would never consider finding Hamlet another home. He will be a great dog for a home without other dogs or children. He is on heartworm medication.
