SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED Hi, my name is COCO - ID#A4456513. I am a spayed female, brindle and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 42 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Sep 11, 2020. I don't have a family of my own right now, so I thought I would share a little bit about myself to hopefully catch the right person's attention. �'ۢBelly rubs are how I love to receive affection. �'ۢI enjoy entertaining myself with toys. �'ۢI greet most new people with lots of wiggles. �'ۢI get pretty excited going for a walk and I might pull at first, but I slow down once I have some time to relax. I also know a thing or two. The humans here have observed I know how to sit on command and give paw, and I know 'down.' Let's learn more together. I love learning with the help of yummy snacks. How did I do in my evaluation with other dogs? Well the staff said so-so, I might be a bit selective with my dog friends. Hey, I know not all humans get along and I want the luxury of choosing my friends, too. So please bring your dogs from home to meet me so we can find out if we are well matched. I know 'sit' 'shake' 'stay' . Sadly, I was adopted out and returned quickly due to me and the adopter's dog not getting along. This is when people need to make sure we are introduced slowly in a home. Many times people just think us dogs will be fine together right away and this IS NOT TRUE ALL THE TIME. A slow intro with crate separation over time is a better approach. So do I get along with dog's or not? well that answer is a 'mixed bag'. As far as children go, I'm a pretty friendly girl overall, but if my ears are bugging me, (like an ear infection,) I don't want to be touched or bothered there. So older kids who can respect my boundaries might be better. If you give me a chance, I promise to be a good girl; I'll be loyal forever and give you unconditional love until I leave this earth.
