About Gizmo Bryer

3 year old Gizmo Bryer is looking for a very special home. Gizmo is a typical velcro Aussie, checking in on foster mom regularly and following her around the house. He really does like playing in the mud, but fortunately doesn't mind taking baths. He has a beautiful, thick red coat and soulful eyes. He likes toys and will prance proudly around the house or yard with his toy in his mouth. Gizmo is about 40#, neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. He is microchipped and on heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. Gizmo was clearly abused by a man in his past and has some significant fears. He's very fearful of men and can't live in a home with men or frequent male visitors or go in crowded public places where there may be unexpected male pedestrians. When he is fearful, he may fear bite, so it's very important that his owner understands his fears and is able to avoid situations that may be triggers. Despite this, Gizmo is the most loving, affectionate and loyal dog to his female owner. He loves other dogs and is more comfortable when around other social, confident dogs. For this reason, he requires another dog(s) in his forever home. Gizmo loves water (and mud), other dogs, and cats. He's good on leash but also has an excellent recall off lead in a safe environment. He loves hiking on private property where he won't encounter unexpected strangers. He is excellent in the house, doesn't chew on things that aren't his, and is house and crate trained. He also enjoys riding in the car. Gizmo needs to have a meet and greet at his foster home before an adoption can take place. His ideal home is one with a female owner(s), no children, and not a lot of people coming and going. He needs another dog or dogs in his forever home, and space to run and play in a safe environment.
