Tigger-Boy Bubba! Bubba AKA 'Tigger', a lively 8-year-young, approximately 15 pound Italian Greyhound mix is looking for a place to land. Poor Bubba was displaced from his home when his best friend became ill. Now this bouyant, spirited, bonny boy needs once and Forever to be Someone's Best Buddy. Bubba's Foster calls our fella 'TIGGER'- cuz he's a bouncy boy when he gets excited! Despite a touch of arthritis, Bubba's favorite thing is to bound right up on his Person's lap to give warm hugs and cuddles. You don't have to pick him up, he'd rather spring into your lap all by himself for those snuggly snugs. His 'my way is best' is just a part of Bubba's world. A bit set in his ways, he prefers slow introductions and time to adjust to new folks and situations. Bubba barks at sudden sounds, or when someone unexpectedly enters his territory. He responds quickly to his Person's 'shush'. Bubba just needs a patient, consistent leader. Bubba is house trained and crate trained. When you tell him to 'kennel up' make sure to reward his obedience with treats! He knows 'kennel up' and 'bed', but this bouncy boy doesn't seem to care for 'sit'. At his foster home, he does great alone in the house but enjoys going to his crate when he needs a little down time. Bubba runs and explores in his foster family's yard. He lets you know when it is time to come inside, Tigger-style. Bubba bobs up and down in place to make sure you don't miss him! He has a foster canine companion he enjoys playing with. Bubba loves his treats and Kongs with peanut butter. In true Bubba's-way-is-best fashion, he doesn't like to share his treats. He prefers to eat separately. Who are Bubba's Besties? They are folks who want a loveable canine companion who likes who he is and can patiently handle his Bubba-bossy quirks. Bubba's people want to give a loving, a little set in his ways pup a home he never has to leave again. They are people who are willing to give him time to adjust to new home and a new routine. Are you around most of the day,looking for a canine co-worker or wanting a friend to help fill an empty nest? Bubba would do great with adults or children 10 and up who respect dogs. Bubba might do well with a laid-back canine companion or two. He may chase kitties. Since Bubba loves to run outside, and sometimes decides he knows best when to come in (he can be stubborn about recall), he would like a fenced yard or someone who understands that dogs need to walk their people daily to enjoy the this beautiful world.
