About Fowler

Dachshund mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

If you've got lots of love and patience to give, I think you will be rewarded by Fowler returning your love. He is a dachshund, 18 lbs., around 5 years old. Fowler is one brave, sweet boy! This little guy arrived from AL very bashful and afraid. He was scared of every little noise or movement, like he was waiting for something scary or bad to happen. But whatever his past, he is sweet and gentle always. Each day his trusts grows a little and seems a little less scared. He's still not sure he trusts humans but each day he relaxes a little more as he grows to trust a little more that we will not let anything bad happen to him. This really is one brave little boy. Fowler enjoys snuggling on the sofa and going on walks. Each day in his foster home brings out more of what I feel is there - his loving, friendly personality. If you are patient, gentle, kind and loving, based on his reactions so far, he should become your trusting, constant, loving companion. He is great around other dogs. He actually seems more comfortable around dogs than humans. Are you up to the challenge to love him and make him your shining forever companion? Do you have it in YOU to be his forever person/family? If you do I think you will be greatly rewarded! He has not been around any cats at foster. He seems to be pretty much house trained. Fowler is up to date on all vaccines. He is will soon be released to full activity after his heartworm treatment and was recently neutered. If your heart is open to him, I think he will open his heart and become your best, loyal, forever friend. He is fostered in New Holland, PA We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
