Junebug and Jasmine are a beautiful pair of sisters that will be adopted together only. Junebug is white and blue and Jasmine is chocolate black. They are both long hair and approx. 4yr. Their adoption fee is $75 each. They have been vetted and spayed. One likes dogs the other doesn't, one likes cats the other doesn't, one tolerates kids and the other doesn't lol. Let just say they would be happiest as the only pets, older kids if any. Mom has had the sisters since they were kittens but the dogs have become obsessed to the point of danger so room swapping and training has been going on for over a year but to no avail. This is breaking her heart but she is selflessly wanting to give these two socialites a better life. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, especially older kitties, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed. You cannot force him, that will scare him. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period. After their adjustment period they are very affectionate, pretty easy-going kitties. They love being petted and held and are very social, wanting to be where their people are. Junebug is a pretty laid-back cat. She likes to sun bathe, groom herself and she loves to have her hair brushed. She'll play with an interactive toy every now and again but she's mostly a lazy kitty. She is pretty vocal when she sees the treats come out and she'll meow at you until you give them to her. If you stop petting her and she isn't satisfied she will grab your hand with her paw and demand more pets. She also licks you while you pet her. She does like to explore when she's in a new place and can be pretty adventurous. She is good at hiding when she wants to or is scared but most of the time if she hears the treat bag shake, she will come out of nesting. Jasmine is a pretty active cat but also loves to lay around with her human and cuddle. She is not a fan of being brushed at all and will try to bite the brush. She does talk a lot when she sees her human, lots of little chatter noises and meows. She likes to be close to her human and will follow you around the house. She'll jump up on the counter and climb up your body and hang out around your neck. She is very playful and loves to chase her toy balls and she jumps around trying to catch her shoelace toys. She also likes treats but not as much as Junebug. She may initially hide or be cautious during the meet and greet but once she knows it's okay, she'll come right up and get pets. She actually knows her name and will come when called like a dog. Junebug and Jasmine will chase each other around and wrestle when they are both in a playful mood. It's very entertaining. They love interactive toys like feather on a stick, shoe lace drag and laser lite as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. They love kitty treats, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. They will expect to share your bed. They have been free fed Blue Indoor Health Salmon & Brown Rice Indoor Adult quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and get up to a can of Fancy Feast morning and night. Below information is for preventative purposes�'�| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health.
