About Scrappy

Scooby Doo, the cartoon dog, has a nephew named Scrappy Doo! However, Pasadena Humane's Scrappy isn't a relative, but he is little and might even resemble the cartoon character a bit. Scrappy came in as a stray and was very nervous at first and he was a bit . . . scrappy. But he quickly learned that our staff comes with treats and pets! In a short time, he relaxed, leaned against them for petting and was easy to leash. With Scrappy, he does need to get to know you, and once he does, he becomes this cuddly and playful little guy! He loves to play with toys and to play fetch. Scrappy tends to chase after birds and insects, so one has to keep an eye on him if he's off-leash. Otherwise, he walks well on leash. Scrappy is 7 years old which makes him a senior dog . . . so if the adopter is 60 years old or more, the adoption is totally free as a part of our Senior for Seniors Program.
