About Max

Maxwell is a 3 year old Labrador mix, who was found near a Waffle House in Katy, TX. We fed him for awhile before we had him safely trapped & rescued. We don't know much about his story previously, but it has taken him several months & lots of patience, to help him come out of his shell & accept his new life. Max can be slow to warm up to new people, but with adequate time to decompress & the help of a patient family, he is so full of life & bonds heavy to his loved ones. Max would thrive in a home with another confident dog, that can show him how to Dog, at his own pace; He would make a great walking buddy & adjust well with someone with a more active lifestyle, too. He is always ready to go, however he doesn't mind lounging around one bit, either! He has been very receptive to training & done well learning how to adapt in new situations, with ease. Max is the sunbathing king, makes a great copilot, & has excellent house manners. He adores children & is very respectful of their space! He enjoys making new dog friends with easy going pups like himself, & even has a great respect for cats! If you're looking for an attentive, loyal, & loving dog..you might be Max's match! :) *Max will require a local adoption in or near Austin, TX so we can best support his transition* He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, & heartworm negative!
