About Riptide

My name is Riptide, and I am a very unique looking husky mix. I am 3 years old and have a blue and a brown eye, which they call it Fire & Ice, there is even a legend about that. Let me tell you a bit about me. My past wasn't that great. I was in Louisiana and my previous owner was not very kind to me and because of that I am still very timid of people, and mostly men. I was rescued and have lived with my wonderful foster family that is showing me human kindness and lots of love. I have made great strives and will continue to do so, of that I am sure. Since I am very timid, no small kids, but 10 and up would be ok since I know they won't startle me. My best qualities are that I am always a happy husky, a bit crazy, but a lover too. I absolutely love balls and stuffed animals. I am full of spunk and personality, I can run like the wind, and love to do the zoomies. I love to play with my foster siblings and even pick on them sometimes, but I do have a lot of energy, so please know that if you are my future family, I will need to be exercised and have lots of play time. I am gentle taking my treats and my humans taking my toys from me (even though that does make me sad), I do not have food aggression, which is great, but please don't take away my food�'�|LOL Things I need to work on are me being a counter surfer and begging for food. I will jump and beg for food and treats. My new family will need to husky proof the kitchen like the cabinets and garbage cans, just like a baby! I'm kind of nosy and an opportunist, but it's a fun world out there. I am not crate trained and will destroy one trying to escape. My foster family does have a doggy door and that works fined with me because I can go out and do potty. With that said ... they have a 6 foot vinyl fencing with a hot wire along the bottom and that is a big plus because I will dig sometimes but not anywhere near the fence. However, I should never be left alone unattended, because I will try to escape. I have not been tested with cats, therefore I would say no cats in my future home. I hope my future family will see my picture and fall in love with me. I know it's out there, and I hope you consider me! I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
