About Curly

Curly is a black and tan coonhound who just wasn't cut out to be a hunter! He's just too kind to be running around the woods trying to kill stuff! Curly's owner wanted the best for him and sent him to us so we help him find a great home! We were told that Curly is about 2 years old (but his teeth look like he could be as old as 5 years) and weighs about 60-65 pounds. Curly is great with other dogs and is running around the yard with three other hounds right now. He is happy, seeks attention, and seems to have what it takes to be a great family dog! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
