My Name Is Barkley and I'm a sweet fellow. I came to the shelter as a stray dragging a chain from my neck. I am young, handsome and playful. I am extremely affectionate. I talk a lot with little growls that might be off putting until you understand that I'm just having a conversation with whomever is present. I like people and other dogs. My energy level is medium and I look forward to being a house dog. No more chains please. I'm currently being treated for heartworm but when I'm finished and have been neutered I will be ready for my my forever home. I can't wait for you to meet me.
