About Shelton & Desi

SENIOR ALERT: We have a 911 emergency and we are reaching out for your help!! Our rescue team is trying to help save a senior bonded pair from going to a kill shelter and being separated from each other and possibly not making it out alive. They have been together for the past 12 years. They are very bonded. They have been best friends their whole lives. Their names are Shelton and Dessert (Desi). Shelton is a 12 year old Dachshund/Terrier mix. Desi is a 12 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab mix. Sadly, their Mom lost her job due to the Covid pandemic, and as a result, she has now lost her apartment. She has now moved in with her boyfriend's parents so she can have a roof over her head, and they won't allow her to keep her dogs there. They have given her until Friday, October 2nd to find a place for them to go, or she will have no choice but to take them to the shelter ... which happens to be a high kill shelter where she lives. She is absolutely devastated. When a member of our rescue team spoke with her, she heard her cry and felt sadness for her tears. She's had her babies their whole lives, for 12 years. They are both very sweet and docile and are dog friendly. Good with kids, too! Our rescue team wants to help them so badly. They are both so loving and so sweet!! We want them to live their rest of their lives with an amazing loving family. They are both neutered and are both housebroken. Please contact us immediately if you are interested!
