About Cusco

Cusco is a rescue from Nebraska, he is an awesome Heeler/Cattle Dog. He is about 45 lbs and about 1.5 years old. Cusco is adorable and loves people, loves, loves, loves them. He is looking for an active home, one that has a backyard so he can do his zoomies and chase after toys. He is active and needs a home that will take him on long walks or hikes in the mountains. Cusco always has a huge smile on his face, nothing ever gets him down. He was surrendered by his last owner because he lived in an apartment and never had time to take Cusco out. He knows how to use a doggy door and will let himself out when he needs to potty. He is crate trained and actually likes to sleep in the crate, as long as he gets a treat to take with him. He is a bit food aggressive, but is learning that there is enough food for everyone. He does best with dogs his size, he tends to zoomie over the littles. His ideal home would be a farm or ranch where he would have room to run, but he would do well in a house also, as long as there is time for him to go for walks or runs. He is an absolute joy to have around, knows how to sit and is learning down and stay. He does well with chickens, but is afraid of goats. He is also good with cats. Cusco was almost euthanized twice because he went to apartments and kept going back to the shelter. With Cusco you get an awesome companion, friend and family member.
