About Percy

Percy is a precious 6-year-old male Pomeranian that is 3 pounds. Percy is a total snuggler and is always ready for belly rubs! He loves getting lots of attention. He is purse size and loves going on adventures in the car. Percy would do well in a home with considerate children, but preferably none under the age of 8 years old due to his small size. Sadly, Percy tested positive for heart worms and will need to be on the slow kill method (oral medication that rescue provides) for 12 months. Due to the heartworms, he is on medication to help make his heart work more efficiently (Enalapril/Lasix). He also has low thyroid levels and needs inexpensive daily medication for life. As if being positive for heart worms and having low thyroids wasn't enough, sweet Percy also has a spot on his eye. It doesn't impair his vision and doesn't bother him one bit. It is only noticeable in certain lighting. His current foster is working with him on potty training with the help of belly bands and he is doing great! He does well in a crate but much prefers to roam the house at night. He does great on a harness and leash, but really likes to be carried for walks instead!
