His previous owners have reported a history of aggression toward strangers, in one instance resulting in a bite that did not break skin. It has been cited that he will otherwise growl and snap toward people he does not know. He has been able to be removed from his kennel for walks and time outside in the care center, however remains fearful and has not opened up to socializing with many of his caretakers yet. There have also been instances where Loki has snapped at staff who attempted to leash him when returning to his kennel. We recommend an experienced, adult-only foster home for Loki where he can be given time needed to decompress at his own pace, while receiving positive-reinforcement based training and behavior management. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. A staff member writes: Hi, I'm Loki and I'm looking for my beach buddy! I like to play fetch and chase, go for jogs, and I really love toys! Stuffed, squeaky, chews: I'll take one of each please! I can also do sit, come, and stay, p.s. my favorite treats are jerky! After a day of fun I like to snuggle up to my person in bed.
