Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: 09/23/20 15:09 Vet staff was able to leash dog and walk him to clinic. JS 09/22/20 14:21 I have approached and attempted to interact twice with this dog today. Both times the dogs has been tense, low growling and showing teeth. JS 09/22/20 15:31 Rescue only DH 09/22/20 15:29 Showing people aggression cannot remove from cage for temp test dh 09/21/20 08:08 I am able to take him out of the kennel with no issue. he is still a grumpy old man. I noticed he doesnt like his back touched. will bark but will not charge the kennel. We had to muzzle just in case since he was bearing teeth. He doesnt like fast movements. He is still very skittish at the moment. Allowed YM and myself to vaccinate him and weigh him. He did protest a small bit. does enjoy walks and does not pull on the leash. I would not recommend a home with small children. He likes fluffy beds. does like head rubs but not really the rest of his body at this time. He does give you a warning with a stare and frozen body when he wants to be left alone. He will come to you when you call him or on his own terms. You have to go slow with him. He shows more trust when spending one on one time with him.-sc 09/21/20 08:16 Spent a little more one on one time with him. letting him do his own thing. and eventually came over to me and rested his chin on my lap. will need someone willing to work with him and hava patience in order to gain his trust over time.-sc
