Welcome Tango to CCPAL Rescue. He is a beautiful 10-month old Great Pyrenees. He looks like a very high mix or pure-bred dog. He is about 65 pounds and should be 75 or 80 full grown. Pyrenees are a considered guardian dog breed. They can be family dogs and make nice companions as well. Tango is very friendly and playful. He has the extra dew claw on the back feet which is indicative of the GP breed. He has the nice longer coat and would be perfect for the more northern climates. He is friendly to all people and is decent on the leash. He will need a fenced yard as the GP breed will roam without one. The best fence would be a wooden fence or a chain. He can be adopted as an only dog but he would want things to do to stimulate him mentally and physically. He would be fine in a home with kids. We like kids to be 7-years or older. He is pretty quiet vocally in comparison to some of the dogs in the rescue. He is at the rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can work with the transporters to deliver him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 185. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to [email protected] if you have questions.
