He is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua/ Yorkshire Terrier mix that weighs 19 pounds full grown. Gus is a very shy boy that will only be friends with humans that his Cinderella properly introduces to him. He is a protective boy that wants to keep his princess safe. Gus has done well with most adults and needs a home with no children under the age of 18. He has not been opposed to any four legged companions and may enjoy having another canine or feline companion to bond with. Gus enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and cats too! Gus knows how to win over your heart by showing off the cutest tricks including begging for a pet or treat! He is house broken, kennel trained, knows how to use a doggy door, walks good on a leash and rides well in the car. Gus Gus will require a patient home willing to let him adjust and warm up to new people at his own pace. He can be food and treat possessive and absolutely despises sharing. It is recommended that his new Cinderella help him over come his quirks and seek out some training to fully round out his manners. Gus Gus loves to sing about his Cinderelly and would not do well in an apartment environment. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked. His adoption fee of $200 includes a free vet visit. To potentially adopt Austin, please come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Rd in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
