About Twyla

Adoption Fee: $25
Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Only drinks from a bidet, anything else is too mainstream. Loves sarongs, thinks Jon needs a job but loves having him in the house. Still can't believe it's not butter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 20 Sep 2020 (she is still waiting :( ) ----- Age at Intake: 5 yrs ----- Breed: Labrador ----- Size: 55 lbs ----- Status: Owner Surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs and courteous children. No cats ----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Higher energy. Large dogs only. ----- Additional Notes: Twyla came to rescue in search of a lifelong home. She came with her sister but they are split up and adoptable separately due to littermate syndrome resulting in unprovoked fighting randomly. NEVER GET TWO PUPPIES TOGETHER. Twyla put on weight nicely. She was pretty thin. She is also learning boundaries. Tie outs were used previously so they do pull very hard on leash so we are working on that and she is learning quickly. She is also learning to sit and wait for permission to eat versus knocking us over for food. She is a typical higher energy lab girl ready for a family to love. She loves water and of course, fetch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Twyla's adoption fee is $25 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory.
