About Blaze

Blaze is a shelter favorite and we know she'll be yours too! Blaze is well-behaved, house trained and super sweet. She's a great mix of wants attention but does need your attention all the time. Blaze is an older girl of about 8 years old and has some arthritis due to some old injuries that didn't heal well. Don't let that fool you though, she's still strong as an ox and can be quite strong on the leash when she wants to be. Blaze has met many dogs here at the shelter and so far as done well with all of them. She is pretty excited about playing ball and doesn't always want to give it back to you, but if you throw a second ball she'll just drop the one she has and chase it. When it comes to play time she will need a family that will help her remember her limits and not let her play too hard too long as it's difficult for her to get up afterwards. Blaze will be perfect for the family looking for a dog that doesn't need a lot of exercise. A home with a low number of steps would be best as well.
