About Rudy

Rudy is a 12-week-old mini-Australian Shepherd, Border Collie mix. He is as sweet, playful, and smart as can be! He learned sit, lay down, and 'look at me' immediately, and he has made progress with come, stay, and leave it. He loves a good game of tug or fetch and splashing in the water. He loves his crate, and is picking up quickly on potty training. However, it is clear Rudy needs a calmer environment to thrive. We live in a busy apartment in Portland, and he is skittish with new people and loud sounds. He recovers and interacts with things relatively quickly-but it's clear that he's uncomfortable here. He needs slow introductions to new people, and dog introductions have not been successful. He has warmed up to our calm, dog-friendly cat. We love this puppy, but we cannot provide him with the environment that he needs. Rudy would do best in an adult only home (preferably with breed experience), in a quieter environment where he has room to run and can take introductions at his own pace.
