Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listing fully to the end before applying. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. The stories just keep coming & coming with these sweet beautiful animals. Dante was one of 7 dogs raised in a container house in Korea by someone but unfortunately they were allowed to roam the streets freely & were reported to the shelter as strays. Dante ended up in a kill shelter in Korea & did not stand a chance making it out of there so thankfully the Korea rescue rescued him. The previous owner was informed the Korean rescue rescued Dante but the owner did not want to come get Dante & take him back. Dante was in great hands & safe & then we were asked could we help & it was with joy we said yes. Dante was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Dante & another friend from Korea, were bought back to the USA where they are now US citizens & are so happy to be here & can't wait to find their new loving forever home. Dante is such a good boy, he is shy at first until he knows you then look out, once he knows you & trusts him, you will be expected to rub his belly & gibe him love. Dante adores playing with other dogs once he is comfortable & loves other dogs & enjoys their company so we will not be accepting applications for this fellow without another dog in the home he lives in. He loves to be held & cuddled & given love & does not mind at all being picked up & held as you can see from his pictures. He also enjoys a good belly rub. Since being in the rescue he has come a long way, he was a little shy & nervous at first but now he likes everyone he meets. Did we mention he loves to eat, well of course he does, he has adjusted very well to his new life but still needs to put on more weight in his new home. We have discovered Dante loves everything we have given him to eat. He is making up for lost time. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Dante & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & a warm bed, everything is new to this beautiful little chap. Dante rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good car ride. Dante will need continued time to be taught to walk on a harness & leash as this is all new to him, but has been doing amazing with us when he has been walked. Did we mention Dante enjoys a good outfit & especially just in time for Halloween. In Dante's new forever home he will require a fully fenced backyard for his enjoyment & safety. Dante is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved. Dante has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & loves other dogs & must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home for him to thrive. This is mandatory. Dante is roughly 18.6 lbs, 6 years old & perhaps a jindo mix, male & we have been putting weight on him, when he cane to us he still needed to put on weight, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed twice. We have spent far more on Dante than his adoption fee covers, with rescuing him, transport fees from Korea, transport fees to WA & medical fees, shots etc. Dante has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children & it's always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Dante was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Dante friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to & not just take him to 1 training class.
