About Valhalla

Saint Bernard mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Valhalla is a gorgeous St. Bernard mix who was found as a stray just outside of Houston. She was at our shelter back in March and was adopted by what we THOUGHT was a great family, but 6 months later, they dumped her on the side of the road in Galveston right before Hurricane Laura. When we contacted her adopter, he said Valhalla 'wasn't his problem.' Fortunately, her microchip was registered to our shelter, so we got her back safe and sound. Despite her size (76 lbs.), she is super gentle and very affectionate. She is low-energy and a little bit timid with sudden movements, but she is an absolute sweetheart. She is 2 years old and fully grown, and she is heartworm positive, but treatment is easy and inexpensive, so don't let that prevent you from meeting this sweet girl or asking us any questions you may have. This sweet and loving girl deserves a FOREVER home with a loving person or family. If interested, please call 281-403-8707 to schedule an appointment. You can email [email protected] with specific questions about her. We *cannot* schedule appointments by e-mail or from a message on this page - you must call the shelter for a meet and greet. Valhalla is in a small city shelter, not with a rescue or foster, and the shelter is full, so she needs to find a forever home as soon as possible. Due to her heartworm status, we cannot transport her out of Texas, so any potential adopter will need to be able to meet her at the shelter.
