About Diamond

Diamond is an approximately 7 yo, 53 lb super sweet and loving girl. She has a more hyper temperament but once her initial energy has been released she likes to just hang out with her people. Diamond walks well with a slip lead and only pulls during the initial excitement. Even though she might seem like a higher energy dog at first glance, she's not at all. She's NOT a runner, avid hiker or a dog that will endure exercising in the snow. She's a pretty low energy dog, perfect for someone with a busy lifestyle who can walk her a couple times a day but otherwise prefers a low key and low maintenance companion to hang out with at the end of the night. She does have a prey drive, so no cats, small critters, or small dogs. She does ok with other dogs her size with slow introductions and could live with another male dog of similar size and calm temperament. She would also do well as the only dog. She's not a dog park dog. She has not been around children at our rescue so we recommend teenage children. Diamond rides well in the car, is good in her crate, and will do best with someone who can give her some boundaries and to build on the foundation we've established with her. She's completely potty trained. If you're renting, we will need landlord approval.
