Meet Koda so unique ! **LOOKING FOR ADOPTER AND/OR FOSTER WITH CAUCASIAN OVCHARKA SHEPHERD OR RUSSIAN MOUNTAIN DOG BREED EXPERIENCE** This post is going out with a prayer that one special Expereince person will be reading this right now to give adorable teddy bear Koda home ! Koda is a 5 year old, neutered male Caucasian Ovcharka/Caucasian Shepherd dog. Koda weighs approximately 160 pounds, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Former NYC ACC Shelter dog was pulled by AmsterDog Rescue 6 months ago and has been in a foster home in Ansonia, CT since. Koda's personality traits are in line with his breed. The Caucasian Ovcharka Shepherd / Russian Mountain Dog breed is primarily known to be protective and breed to be a guardian dog for large livestock originating from the Caucasus region (Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia). Koda is a natural guard dog who's protective of his home and owners/fosters but is very affectionate with his people. Koda is not welcoming to new people with his caretakers present in the home but is more approachable when removed from the people/home he's guarding. He's is not pet friendly so must be the only dog in his new home. Interested adopters/fosters MUST have Caucasian Ovcharka Shepherd / Russian Mountain Dog breed experience and NO other pets in the home. We are looking for a home that has outdoor/yard space for our big guy. Koda would do best in a home within in a rural area with no neighboring pets nearby. Applicants living in a apartment will NOT be accepted. Transportation of any distance will be provided to Koda's new home, so long as the adopter/foster fits the above criteria.
