More than anything, Marty wants someone to love him. We don't know what his past was like but we do know he ended up at animal control as part of an abuse case. We do know he's just learning to trust humans and other dogs make him nervous. Right now he is very reactive to dogs in the kennel so he would have to be an only pet. It takes him a while to warm up to humans but once he knows he can trust, this big 70 lb boy ends up in your lap. We think All 6 years of his life were filled with uncertainly and he just doesnt know what to expect. Marty needs an owner who will help him learn that the world isn't such a scary place. That humans can be kind and trusted and predictably kind. This boy needs a hero to love him and help him blossom into the awesome dog he can be. Marty would do best in a quiet home where he has a routine and someone is willing to devote the time to working with him. Anyone who adopts him will have the help of his trainer who Marty has come to adore. If youre looking for a loyal friend and companion and you can put in the focus and time, Marty is waiting for you.
