They broke into it and found a horrific scene. 9 cats were rescued, adults, teenagers and a tiny newborn were saved. Sadly, the rest had died. We are so thankful for our first-time rescuers! Roxie and Reba (adopted), Raspberrie and Ruffles are the quadruplets. Ruffles is a female approx. 1y, a beautifully spotted calico and Remi is an adorable male approx. 5mo with a silver spotted coat. They are both shorthair. Rosco is a handsome male approx. 2yr and he is a fantastic silver spotted and Rabbit is an adorable male approx. 5mo and he is a white albino with pale blue eyes. Both shorthair. Rufus is a handsome male approx. 2yr and he is a cr̬me orange spotted short hair. Roseannadanna has been adopted. When they were first brought into safety they hunkered down, hid and shivered in fear. The kitties are adjusting at different rates and we have included a collage of them all. Please enquire if you may be interested in any of them even if they are not yet online. I can let you know their progress. Ruffles and Remi are the bonded pair. (We would love to get them adopted together but won't lose out on a good home that only wants to adopt one).They really complement each other and are stuck together like glue. Remi really looks up to his big sister. They zoom through the house together, eat together, sleep together, wrestle and play together. And two is always better than one! They are so much fun to watch and are so happy. Their adoption fee is $75 each and they have been vetted and neutered. They are good with other nice cats, no dogs, no young kids. PLEASE PEOPLE GET HELP! HOARDERS WHO CHOOSE TO COLLECT ANIMALS INSTEAD OF NEWSPAPERS AREN'T HELPING! MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! *These were owned cats that have been thru hell. They are not aggressive, will not hiss, spit or scratch. We do not know all what they endured, however we do know they are great cats that were loved at one time before they were subject to cruelty. They are so deserving of a lifetime of love. Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed. Ruffles will come around before Remi but Remi will feed off of Ruffle's calmness and comfort in their new home which will encourage Remi. You cannot force them, that will scare them. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period. Ruffles and Remi have one thing on their mind and that is play play play and it's a show you don't want to miss. Besides zooming up and down the halls and up the cat tree they will pause to eat, drink and snuggle together in a cubby for a nap. They are smaller kitties with stunning markings and are very healthy. They are not bold, in your face but they are social and are only getting better the more they are loved. Neither are lap cats but Remi will tolerate it more. Neither care to be picked up walked around but Ruffles will tolerate it more. Remi likes a calm hand letting him nose or paw your first. Ruffles does head bumps and will flop on the floor in front of you to demand attention. Neither are talkers, maybe a chirp. Ruffles has a 'birthmark' on her eye and Remi has a kink in the tip of his tail. They will both be playing, walking around and sleeping out in the open but Ruffles is the willing one to come over for love and chin rubs and full body massages. They like being babied and spoken softly to. Picking up an interactive toy or treat will build their confidence. They both do well with a slow approach. They are both totally non aggressive, no hissing or biting. They are both energetic busybodies that love to explorer. They both prefer you on their level versus a giant hanging over them. They both need a cat tree and love to be up on it. They love windows to see the outside world, they seek out cabinets to open, check out and take naps in. They are very clean kitties and use the litter box perfectly. Their favorite interactive toys are feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. They love a laser lite, turbo ball and catnip. They also use a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor. They really do have good manners and are not destructive. They are free fed Cosco orange bag quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and they like the chicken tuna pure bite treats and the apple paws puree tuna chicken flavors. We will eventually add a can of Fancy Feast morning and night.
