About Lucy

Lucy was in a home that we had hoped would be her forever home. Unfortunately, after several weeks, she just wasn't adjusting to one of the cats there. (Or the cat wasn't adjusting to her) We are now trying to find a home that's a better fit for her. Lucy is a 4 yr old, 80 lb, beautiful, blind, full bred Rottweiler. She had a bladder polyp that was biopsied and is benign. She also completed 30 days of antibiotics for lyme. Lucy is spayed, microchipped & current on vaccines. She is currently being fostered at Humphrey House for Homeless Animals in Baltimore Maryland. Lucy would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She likes to explore her boundaries at her own pace. She has done well with the blind beagle in her previous home although she should be introduced to new dogs slowly due to her vision impairment. No cats preferred. Once she senses a cat, she becomes obsessed with finding them. It can make some cats nervous. With her lack of vision comes an enhanced sense of smell for other critters & people. Lucy can be playful at times but is overall low energy. She tends to walk cautiously due to being blind.
