Meet Lovely Layla! Get Ready to Check off a Lot of Boxes for Ms. Layla... Layla is house-broken, crate-trained, walks well on a leash, is vaccinated and heartworm negative. She's scheduled to be spayed on 09-29 at Shively Vet Clinic, she's very sweet, smart, and GREAT with other dogs, good with kids, and even cats! Layla's also well-behaved when you're out of the house, is cuddly, loves to take naps with you, and as her foster mommy endearingly describes her, 'she is a best friend in a dog.' History: Layla (originally Hazel) belonged to someone in Elizabethtown, Ky. that was going to either shoot or abandon her when he no longer wanted her. As soon as one of our rescue collaborators in E-town heard about this, she went to rescue Layla before anything bad could happen to her. She had Layla for a couple of weeks as a foster, then reached out for assistance with vetting Layla and finding her a permanent, loving home. Layla is a little nervous around new people at first but she gets over that in about 5 mins by the new ppl 'giving her space' and letting her go to them (this is a wise approach with any dog).
