About

Bombay / Burmese
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Female

Scarlett is an adorable chocolate black with white, tuxedo short hair female kitten approx. 4mo old. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted and spayed. She is good with other nice cats and older kids. Dogs? Some cruel person dumped her off to die in a desert area where she found her way to a feral cat feeding station. A feeding station is where feral-wild cats are TNR'd - trapped neutered released and fed. Cats form colonies like this because irresponsible people abandon them, tossing them out like trash. They roam to find food then a loving caring concerned citizen starts feeding these starving cats forming a feeding station. They get TNR'd to prevent kittens, ear tipped so others know that these cats are fixed. The cats 'work' for us taking care of the mice, roof rats, scorpions and roaches, but they must be fixed. The 'wild' ones will survive because they are smart enough to elude predators and sick people. The 'tame' ones need to be taken in, they aren't smart. IF YOU CAN NOT TAKE CARE OF A LIFE THEN GET HELP! ABANDONING AN ANIMAL TO DIE ALONE IS CRUEL AND AGAINST THE LAW. Scarlett is your typical cute cuddly, playful precious, rowdy and rambunctious kitten but she didn't start out that way. She is healthy, fun, sweet and adorable! She had a very traumatic start so in the beginning she was scared of everything. Once she got into her current foster where she was loved and pampered she became the most lovable moosh. She now plays and acts like the kitten she was never allowed to be. She goes after feet and will rub all over you're your legs to get your attention. She is a cuddler and will drool when petted for long periods at a time. She will purr as soon as you touch her. A lot of people, kids running around, noises or new guests still scare her and she will hide until she feels it's safe to come out again. She needs a patient and loving home where she can become more comfortable with herself and her environment so that she can fully thrive. Scarlett is an all time favorite of her foster mom because she is so soft, fragile and very gentle, like a sweet princess. She really just wants her people. Typically, we stress kittens need playmates but this is one kitty that we would adopt out as an only pet as long as her people make the time for her, that's all she will care about. Kittens need playmates! You cannot have a happy kitty alone in a home all day. They need other pets, nice kids or even siblings to play with otherwise they sleep all day and are up all night. When they are awake during the day, they have so much pent up energy they get into things and start 'climbing the walls. Kittens are players that need lots of toys. They love boxes, interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the 'Fling ama String' and the $2 'cat dancer' toy. She has been free fed Royal Canine quality hard kitten food (the first ingredient beginning with meat), and she gets quality Fancy Feast naturals pate kitten canned food morning and night and needs kitten food till she is 1 year old. They love kitty treats in small dosages while young, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in. They will expect to share your bed. They need playmates, a cat tree, love and an inside home. Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cats fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! ADOPT Scarlett FOR LIFE! CNPS text 602-332-6615 email [email protected] REMEMBER WHEN YOU ARE ADOPTING A PET YOU ARE ADOPTING A FAMILY MEMBER FOR LIFE! THEY ARE NOT THROW AWAY TOYS!
