About KAREN

Hi, I'm KAREN! I was enjoying life as a young pup (I'm 3 now), but lost my home (two times) and all that I was comfortable with. The nice people at the boarding kennels try to make me feel comfortable, but I just need my own people who will be patient with me while I get to know you and trust you. I will show you that I will be a good protection dog and very loyal. KAREN was lucky to be cared for in a home for almost 5 months where we learned alot about her likes and dislikes. ' She is youthful and playful. She loves being outside as much as possible, rides in my Jeep with the window down, and walks on- and off-leash (work in progress). She is a very great listener. Her favorite game in the yard is 'tag'. Her favorite game in the house is 'basketball'. She bounces her balls around my house. Her favorite snacks are beef rib bones and anything chicken flavored. She doesn't care for food that isn't chicken. I've had her on the Kirkland chicken dog food from Costco since I got her. KAREN is relatively social in small settings; dog parks are too much for her. KAREN loves boy dogs. Her best friend is a male jack russell terrier and will play until they both can barely stand anymore. When it comes to small dogs and female dogs, KAREN is standoffish, but is amenable to coming around. She does well with my boyfriend's female boxer and female french bulldog. KAREN is completely in love with children. She transforms into Mama dog and looks out for their well being. She's very good at keeping herself company during my long shifts. I am able to leave her out and trust that my house will be in the condition I left it when I return. She has never damaged or chewed anything I own. She knows her toys and sticks to them. She does react poorly to large men. My boyfriend is 6'4' and she has never been able to warm up to him. An ideal home for KAREN is a family setting with some kids and maybe another dog around her size or bigger that can be around for her.
