About Rufus

Rufus is a tiny, tan and white, male Chihuahua that could easily fit in your pocket. He only weighs nine pounds. This little boy is a bit shy and reserved when meeting new people. When you are this small it pays to be cautious! Once he has had a chance to check you out, Rufus is quite charming. This precious pup is a little spitfire that is affectionate, friendly, and playful. He is the perfect companion for an adult home or a family with older children. Not one to quarrel, Rufus does well with other small well behaved dogs and would welcome a playmate. But he is perfectly content being the only dog within the home. He also does well with cats! Rufus likes to play with toys but is not overly rowdy. You needn't worry about him chewing and he is housetrained too. For his safety, backyard breaks need to be escorted and in a fenced in yard. Dogs his size are easy prey for hawks and owls. Rufus enjoys a daily walk and trips about town. After a busy day, this pint-sized nugget will snuggle up in your lap and take a nap. Rufus would love to be your new best buddy!
