About Apple & Pear

For the safety of our staff and customers, we ask that you practice social distancing, sanitization, and if exposed to Covid-19 or sick to please stay home.-- Pear & Apple are a darling pair of 1 year old Chihuahuas who are looking for a very loving forever family together. Pear & Apple are both sweet as pie, but take a little time to warm up versus time to cool. Apple & Pear came to us from the Humane Society, where they had been taken in along with many other dogs from a hoarding situation. Dogs coming from these types of situations are usually more timid of humans and very comfortable in the presence of other dogs. Just in their short time with us these girls have come so far and are starting to happily greet our staff. Pear is the darker black washed gal, while Apple is the lighter red/tan lady. Pear is more outgoing with people first and will run to you with her whole body wiggling for love. Once Apple sees Pear happy with someone, she will slowly come up and give you a chance to gain her trust as well. Pear & Apple will need a very patient and loving home where they will be shown lots of gentle affection. They would do best with adults and mature, dog savvy children who understand their needs. They are happy to meet other dogs in the home before adoption, so long as they get to stay together. Pear & Apple will likely need training and house training during which they will need extra patience and gentle positive reinforcement. Pear weighs 12 pounds full grown & Apple weighs 13 pounds. They are spayed spayed, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. Their adoption pair fee of $250 includes a free vet visit.
