About Charlie

Charlie is a ten year old Westie. Typically he gets along well with other dogs but has recently had aggression toward a male dog in our home. The two must be constantly separated, leading us to need to rehome Charlie. Charlie is in excellent health- with his only concern being a knee that occasionally gives him pain if get goes on walks too long. Only homes with a fenced in yard will be considered. Charlie has separation anxiety if left alone. He needs a home with adults who are retired or work from home permanently (not temporarily due to Covid). He does best with companionship: we would like him to go to a home that already has a well behaved, not high energy dog. We are located in Annapolis, and want Charlie to be placed nearby. Maryland only will be considered. Only families willing to let us stay in contact with Charlie will be considered. We will require a home inspection, so we can see Charlie in your home interacting with you and any other pets. A two-week trial will be recommended to make sure things are a good fit. If at anytime the placement does not work, we require Charlie be returned to us- not a shelter or other placement. We will create a contract for the new family to sign agreeing to these terms.
