About Brucie

I am Brucie and I am roughly 7-8 years old. I was found tied to a tree outside of Charlotte, NC, and ended up at the shelter. The shelter needed me to go to rescue due to the masses on my neck and leg, as well as being HW+. With the help of Russell Rescue Inc, the vet removed the masses, and they found no microfilaria under the microscope. We can do slow kill treatment! It has been one month and I am healing nicely. The biopsy results are pending. My foster parents have discovered I am not good with cats, I am perfectly house trained, I love to play and love my Nylabones, and I like being near my people. I love food and you can no longer see my ribs. I am good with 99% of the dogs in my life (I have 5 foster Jack siblings), so I'll need to meet the existing family dog. There is this one dog I am mortal enemies. He just hated me from the start so....not my fault! I do resource guard my food at times from dogs so need to be fed separately. I enjoy window watching, and the Amazon guy is my favorite! I haven't met a human stranger yet. My foster mom says I would make the most amazing companion...but she isn't allowed to aquire any more terriers. I'm neutered, up to date on vaccines, and rescue will provide my doxycyline treatment for the year (every 3 months) for HW slow kill treatment.
