About Max

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. A good boy but not friendly with children or other animals. We have many small children in and out of our home on an daily and regular basis between ours and the children I watch and he is known to bite regularly. Sometimes the bites draw significant blood and being such, we do not want him to be punished or euthanized but also are not willing to give him to just anybody. We want a good home for him with someone who can be kind and patient with him. We are scared that an incident will arise that will result in Max being taken and put down. We have had him his entire life but because of the biting have had to separate him from the rest of the house and he spends quite a bit of time segregated. We do have one other dog that he is ok with but he is very aggressive with all other animals that he has been introduced to. He is a handsome dude that loves walks and digging. He is very treat motivated and responds to simple commands such as sit and 'go to bed'. We love him, but want better for him. He is not in immediate danger unless he were to severely bite another child.
