About Rockie

This handsome gentleman is Rockie, a 70 pound 8-9 year old Lab Mix. Rockie is a typical lab and loves to be around people. He follows his humans and then plops down on the floor to watch them. He is medium energy so likes to play but is also happy snuggling next to you and getting belly rubs. He has not shown much interest in toys. He will come and lay his head gently in your lap when he wants some love. Rockie does great with other dogs but would also be ok as an only dog. He loves his people and wants to be around them. Rockie loves belly rubs and will happily flop over belly up. Rockie also is very tail talented. He wags, bobs and even helicopters his tail. Rockie came to us from a Missouri shelter where he was found as a stray. He would like a home with a fenced yard so he can safely roam around. Like most labs, Rockie is food motivated. He knows the sit command and comes when called. He passed his cat test at the shelter, he ignored them. Rockie's left hip is deteriorating. He takes Meloxicam every day to help with pain and inflammation. Meloxicam is not an expensive drug and costs less than $10 a month. Rockie is house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and just had a dental.
