Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash. Penny Rose was found on the streets of CA as a stray & she was captured & taken to a high kill shelter in CA. Unfortunately this little lady was going to fall between the cracks & lose her precious life. A 72 hour notice was sent out for rescues to help this love, but no one came for her as he was beyond fearful & very nervous in the shelter & she was not handling the shelter environment well at all. Who could blame her, she knew she was going to lose her life. The shelter said she was very uncomfortable with being handled. We wanted to help this very misunderstood little lady & give her a wonderful new life. Thank goodness we did because we were her last hope of survival. Penny Rose was bought back to WA state from CA where she can't wait to find a home who will be patient with her & understanding of everything she has been through. We believe that wherever poor sweet Penny Rose was before she was rescued it was not good. Originally when we first got Penny Rose she was extremely fearful, scared & this poor girl was clearly not being loved the way she should be. But since being in the rescue she has come a long way. Now you can pat her & she will get on her back so you can Pat her belly, she is still a little shy & timid but not shy about eating but will defiantly take treats & food on offer. She will need a home who will be patient with her at first until she adapts to her new home. not treated kindly in his previous home & was showing signs of being ill-treated. Miss Penny Rose will still need continued work on walking on a harness & leash as when we first rescued her she hated the harness & leash but has come such a long way. Penny Rose definitely enjoys eating & she does ride well in the car & enjoys a good journey. This little lady does not like being in a crate so she needs a crate free home. We are looking for a forever home for Penny Rose where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Penny Rose needs a fully fenced backyard & enjoys being with other dogs so she requires a fully fenced secure backyard & another dog or dogs in the home for her to thrive. This is mandatory for her new home. Penny Rose is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. We are also looking for a home for Penny Rose who does have rescue experience with trauma dogs who understands that this sweet little lady has been through so very much. Penny Rose has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs here in WA & was in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company & playing with them. It's mandatory for her to be in a home with another dog or other playful dogs to continue for her to thrive. Penny Rose is roughly 2 years old & 20.2 lbs & is perhaps a jack russell parsons terrier mix, microchipped, spayed, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on rescuing Penny Rose with her medical care alone getting her well with medications etc in CA & along with transport etc than Penny Roses fee covers. Penny Rose has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children & it's always up to the family to be responsible with their children. Penny Rose needs a home with no children in the home. We were not there when Penny Rose was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Penny Rose's friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to.
