Thank You for your cooperation*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay, PayPal, or cash. Mr Gooch had found an amazing loving home who loved him very much & adored him. Unfortunately it became apparent that children are not Gooch's cup of tea & there were children in the home & interactions with other children. So now Gooch is looking for his forever home again but without any children in the home or on his adventures & outings. Gooch is such a sweetheart of a dog & just wants to be loved. Mr Gooch was abandoned and came to us a mess with years of medical neglect. He had a raging skin infection, rotting teeth and hadn't been neutered. How anyone could be so neglectful to this big teddy bear is beyond understanding. We got him well & got all of his medical taken care of with a major dental including teeth extractions, neutered, cleared up his skin, and got him current on vaccinations. He's got his A Game on and is looking for his happy forever. Mr Gooch is a well rounded, playful affectionate love bug. He likes other dogs, is good walking on a leash and loves his food. When adopting a dog such as Gooch the amount of food he eats needs to be taken into consideration. Gooch eats roughly 8-9 cups of food a day & eats a high quality diet so his food is an important factor when applying for this boy. We are also looking for a forever home with Gooch who will walk this boy every single day to keep him active. Gooch has been around children & he does not like children so a child free home is the only home we will be accepting for this lovely soul. Gooch is a wonderful car rider & enjoys a good journey in the car & cuddling with his people. It is always up to the new family to be responsible with introducing new pets and in all interactions with pets and children. Gooch is roughly 8 years & will be 9 later on this year & weighs roughly 85.2 lbs. Based on his appearance we believe he is a Mastiff. He has now been neutered, is current on all vaccines including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, and rabies. Gooch is microchipped, has been wormed, had a major dental including extractions, his skin is all cleared up & ready for his loving forever home. This big guy has been through some rough times and is depending on us to find him the best forever home possible. With that in mind we are looking for a home where another dog is present and where someone is home majority of the day and won't leave him alone or crated. He needs a home that is able to be patient with the transition, willing to work with a trainer if necessary, and able to give him unconditional love. We were not there when Gooch was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Gooch's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Gooch potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying & take them to one class only. Gooch has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system.
