He is in a temporary home with a good samaritan, but he is need need of a permanent home. Name: Dominick Age: Approximately 1 year Breed: Pitbull mix Sex: 45# (Male) Not Neutered Location: Vernon Parish, Louisiana Vet Information: UTD on vaccines. Heartworm negative. Owner report: Dominick was surrendered to a kill shelter by his owner, where the owner was told he would be euthanized within minutes of her leaving. Dominick's blindness may have been the result of abuse, as per the original owner, but there is no records documenting this, so it is unverified. Dominick is reported to be completely blind. He is described as an intdoor dog with the run of the house. He is noted as being housebroken and leash trained. Dominick's caregiver reports he is good with men, women, children of all ages other dogs as well as cats. Although Dominick is currently residing with other dogs, caregiver notes 'Dominick has no issues except for being food aggressive so he has to be fed alone.' Although Dominick is reported to be aggressive towards other dogs during meal time, he has never been aggressive towards humans. Caregivers reports he is only protective of his food and only towards animals 'Never a human.' Dominick's care giver reports that: 'He's a sweet boy who deserves a good life. He loves to run & play & he loves cuddling & giving kissed.'
