We are looking for a foster or adopter for Maple. Maple is a sweet and energetic two-year old, who needs a special parent to help her with her fears and anxieties. She tries very hard to be loved but is still not completely comfortable with human touch. She loves to give kisses to show she loves you and is happy. Maple loves to speak in the form of whines and barks. She would do well with one other playful dog, preferably male. She does show some aggression with dogs of certain energies. She's looking for one dog to be her BFF. We suspect Maple had gone through some unknown trauma. She's really sweet and you can tell she wants to be loved so bad. In that way she tries so hard.She is a traumatized dog who wants to work through her fear. She will come up to be petted but then she will whine and cry while you do it. She then will get really happy, lick you and try to be pet again. It's encouraging she's trying but it's also very sad. It makes you wonder what happened. She has shown some aggression towards other dogs tries to be an alpha when she's clearly not. Maple is not yet comfortable with harnesses for walking, but she shows interest in the harnesses. She needs a parent who has time and can go slow and provide lots of training. Maple is motivated by treats and is eager to learn, she is just overcoming a lot of trauma. She is good with children.
