[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Mackie is a really special girl that came into our program a few months ago. She is less than 6 months old right now and is a Dutch Shepherd. We were told she was deaf but when the foster mom got her we realized that wasn't the case. She seemed to hear great with those big ears but she had a bigger problem, constant dribbling of urine. Since then we have taken her to many vet appointments, gotten MRIs done and she finally had surgery. She had bilateral ectopic ureters as well as a bad kidney. After having one ureter removed, the other fixed and a kidney removed she was out of surgery. She is still having some problems holding her bladder due to her sphincter muscle not being strong enough yet to keep it in BUT she is on Proin now and we are praying that will help. She is a special case and does wear diapers currently when she's hanging out around the house. She will need a loving family that wants to snuggle and also doesn't see her special needs as a problem.
