About Griffey

7 month old male, big dog mix, about 30 pounds. Griffey is a sweet, loveable, and goofy seven-month-old male. He may be a cross of Husky, Greyhound, Lab, and others. He loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, and chew toys. And he LOVES to eat. We have been doing some basic training which has been fairly easy because he is very food motivated. He is good with all dogs, although he loves to play a little rough at times. He would do best with a doggy buddy who also loves to romp around and wrestle. He loves everyone he meets and everyone loves him. He is totally crate-trained and starting to learn the ropes regarding potty training. He loves to put his front feet in your lap and be petted for a while. He loves to nap in the sun and chase his toys around the yard. He's 30 pounds now but will get bigger. He has not been around cats so they are an unknown. He does jump up at times so a small child might not be the best fit for him. He is doing very well on his leash and loves his long walks. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
