About Allie

Allie is available for foster or foster-to-adopt. Allie is a 5-to-6-year-old Kelpie mix currently being fostered in Manatee County, FL. Initially afraid of the world, Allie has been with Ewenity for over a year and has developed into a joyful, loving girl with other dogs and people alike. This quiet and unassuming girl is crate trained, housebroken and uses a dog door. Despite the fact that she has a severed Achilles tendon, she can swim like a fish, run like the wind, and jump four feet high. Her injury is not painful and since she is so active, she does not require surgery, although she does take arthritis supplements. She is not able to walk on concrete and has no control of her lower limb (it thumps on the floor when she runs), so she will need a country home. She is known to give a nip or two when overjoyed but corrects easily. She is a joy to live with and accepts anything you put in her path. Allie is a wonderful dog who deserves her own family. She has so much joy and love to give, and would be the best companion ever. All she needs is a pasture, a pond and you!
