About Mia

MEET MIA!! This charming 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd mix comes to us as an owner surrender after her and the other older female dog in the house could no longer get along. She did fine with the male in the house. The family did not want to see thing get out of hand with their dogs so did what they felt was best for everyone involved and we cannot fault them for that. Mia is super sweet but just doesn't want to share her house with another strong willed female dog. We have introduced Mia to male dogs here at the rescue and she has been just fine. Mia is an absolute doll and is super sweet and playful. She LOVES stuffed squeaky toys and will pounce on them and run with absolute joy on her face. She will also chase the ball and bring it back. Mia is always willing to stop for some love and attention though. She would do great with an active family that has the time to give her the love, attention and exercise that she needs. Mia is house trained, crate trained, rides great in the car and does well on the leash.
