'Hello? Hello? Oh honey, you're gonna have to speak up. Ohhh! You're looking to adopt a puppy? Well, I ain't no puppy, but I am the dog of your dreams, I think. My name is Makayla and I'm a 10-12 year old Bluetick Coonhound that came to SVASC as a stray. I was never reclaimed, so now this granny is looking to land a cozy spot on your sofa. One important thing to know about me before we continue is that I'm just about bling as a bat.. I will walk into the wall, blind, so I will need a family that understands that I will need my care tweaked a bit to reflect my blindness. Other than that, I seem to be pretty healthy and happy. I love to go for strolls, waltz around the yard, and I especially love snuggles. I'm a sweet old lady and would really love to find a family that will love me. I would do well in a calmer home. I am blind, so a home without a lot of commotion would be ideal. I do seem to enjoy the company of other dogs and so I definitely wouldn't mind having a friend or two at home. I would do best in a home with a fenced in yard or one that is committed to leash walking me, so that I don't accidentally wander off. My adoption fee is $125 to an approved adopter.
